Stewart Milne Developments gets green light for £40m Aberdeen scheme

Stewart Milne Developments has secured the go-ahead to build a £40m office scheme at the historic Triple Kirks site in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen council’s development committee voted seven to four in favour of the plans which will create 72,000 sq ft of new office space.

The Triple Kirks is a red bricked A-listed church and spire in the centre of Aberdeen which was designed by architect Archibald Simpson and was built in the 1800s. It has lain derelict for 40-years.

The spire will be retained as part of the development and conditions have been imposed to encourage its continued use as a nesting site for peregrine falcons.

The new development has been designed by Aberdeen architects Halliday Fraser Munro
